  • What were you doing at 07.10 yesterday? Were you sleeping? – Что ты делал вчера в 07,10? Ты спал?
  • What did she say? I don’t know. I wasn’t listening. – Что она сказала? Я не знаю. Я не слушал.
  • It was raining, so we didn’t go out. – Шел дождь, поэтому мы не пошли гулять.

Не путайте present continuous и past continuous

am/is/are + –ing (present) —>was/were + –ing (past)

  • I’m watching TV (now). – I was watching TV at 11.45 last night.
  • It isn’t snowing (now). – It was not snowing when we went out.
  • What are you doing (now)? – What were you doing at 2 o’clock?
